Welcome to the solo exhibition of Siv Blankenberg Skottheim at the Kragerø Art Association.
Siv Blankenberg Skottheim works with traditional, figurative oil painting.
The working process in the studio is highly time-consuming and requires deep concentration. Her works are mainly inspired by the quiet magic of nature and the gruesome indifference of reality. Most of the motifs are based on Siv’s own documentation of her local surroundings in Kragerø, with the exception of a few paintings based on borrowed photographs.
Siv has a strong commitment to preserving nature and cultural heritage, and for many years she has devoted much of her spare time to restoring buildings and cultural landscapes. This commitment and fascination with nature form a central part of her artistic practice.
Welcome to the Kragerø Art Association at P.A. Heuchs gate 6 (opposite Onkel Oskar).
Opening reception Saturday, June 6 at 1 PM.
The exhibition is open Wednesday–Sunday from 12 PM to 4 PM through June 21.
