Duration: approx. 15–30 minutes
Difficulty: Easy

Description:
The walk to the Day Trip Cabin (Dagsturhytta) in Flatdal is a short and easy route across flat terrain, making it ideal for families, walkers, and cyclists alike. The trail follows a well-prepared gravel path across the Flatdal wetlands (Flatdalsøyan), with easy access from the parking area at Flatsjå. From the parking area, it takes only about 15–30 minutes to reach the cabin, but the surroundings invite you to spend a bit more time along the way.

Along the route, you can explore the boardwalk, visit the Nature Lab (Naturlaben), and experience the unique natural and cultural landscape of Flatdalsøyan. The area also offers opportunities for activities such as fishing and kayaking, making the trip more than just a walk to a destination.

The Day Trip Cabin is a cosy and inviting stop, perfect for a break whether you arrive on foot or by bike. With its even surface and flat terrain, this route is just as suitable for a leisurely stroll as it is for a relaxed bike ride in beautiful surroundings.

The cabin is open year-round and free for everyone to use.
