Diving in the Åbyfjord

Like Steinvika, Hydrostranda beach at the outermost point of the Åbyfjord has a mixture of walls and loose seabed. Here, too, you can dive from land, provided you can carry your gear from the car park at the entrance to Hydrostranda. A wheelbarrow would probably be useful!

From the island of Skokkeløya heading into the Åbyfjord, there are many islands with steep walls. You can dive here in virtually all wind directions and strengths. Both the fauna and algae flora reveal that there is less movement in the water here than further out on the coast. However, you may still come across some tasty flatfish!
