Looking for a safe, exciting, and challenging place to climb in Skien? The Climbing Wall at Skien Fritidspark offers a high lead/top-rope wall, a dedicated bouldering room, and professional climbing courses. Whether you want to refine your technique, boulder independently, or earn your climbing certification, we have everything you need!

The Climbing Wall – 14.7 Meters of Heights and Challenges

Located at the back of the Multi-Purpose Hall (Flerbrukshallen), our indoor wall offers routes for both beginners and experienced climbers:

• Dimensions: 14.7 meters high and 18 meters wide.
• Safety Requirements: To climb on the high wall, you must be accompanied by a belayer holding a valid Norwegian climbing certification (Brattkort or Topptaukort).

Dedicated Bouldering Room – Rope-Free Climbing

Prefer to climb freely without a belayer? We offer a separate, dedicated bouldering room:

• Rope-Free Bouldering: Climb lower walls over thick safety mats—no belayer or climbing certification required.
• Ideal Warm-Up: The bouldering room is perfect for warming up before tackling the main climbing wall, or for targeted strength and technique training.

Climbing Courses and Registration

We regularly host climbing courses where you can learn essential safety skills or earn your Brattkort / Topptaukort certification.

• Registration: Course registration is binding.
• Terms & Conditions: Course fees are non-refundable; however, we are happy to assist you in rescheduling to a new course date. In the event of illness, a medical certificate is required for rescheduling or refund.
