Discover a brand-new, architect-designed sauna raft at the Telemark Canal. Opened in March 2025, right between Lunde and the Vrangfoss locks, this unique sauna experience combines modern design with traditional Nordic sauna culture.

The sauna was designed by Furore Arkitektur / Oslo Works, created through passionate research, input from experienced sauna enthusiasts, and inspiration from ice bathing traditions.

A Unique Experience on the Telemark Canal

What sets this floating sauna apart is its cozy heated lounge. Here you can relax with a good book or simply enjoy the view while others take an extra sauna round. This combination of a hot sauna and a comfortable lounge makes the experience enjoyable for everyone – whether you love long sauna sessions or prefer alternating between heat and calm.

The sauna is just the first step in a larger project that will also include unique forest cabins for overnight stays. Beautifully located in the cultural landscape along the Telemark Canal, the raft sits between Lunde and the famous Vrangfoss lock, right on National Cycle Route No. 2.
